Nike, you had one job

The news of the return of the “Metallic Gold” Nike Air Flightposite I later this year was a welcomed development for fans of the groundbreaking silhouette. As with any re-release of any returning classic, one of the concerns with fans is will the sneaker be brought back in all its original glory, and the Flightpisite is no different.  Initial images emerged and all seemed well until we got a gander at the medial side. Instead of an outsole that wraps up along the upper and is equipped with flex grooves…

This Black and Red AE 2 sample needs to release

Initially I was down on the aesthetic of the AE 2, however after seeing the images of the royal colorway my stance on the silhouette started to soften. After seeing this black and red look, I’ve completely come around to appreciating the silhouette and its potential.  It features a black synthetic cage that comprises the upper. Red “AE” branding can be seen perched atop the black tongue, with additional Edwards branding on the rear pull tab. A Three Stripes logo can be seen on the rear heel, while the text…

WNBA gets it right with their All-Star Weekend

The WNBA concluded its All-Star weekend Saturday night with the All-Star Game, putting a bow on what was a very entertaining weekend of on-court festivities. Frankly speaking, this WNBA All-Star weekend was far more enjoyable than many in recent NBA meetings because of one factor old-fashioned competition. Starting with the Skills, which was won by Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream, the ladies that participated competed to win, completely forgoing the “too cool for school” temperament that plagues NBA players in their competition. There were no players casually casting up…

Navy Swooshes would adorn…
