An initial look at the “University Blue” Nike Kobe VIII Protro

This upcoming Kobe VIII Protro features a university blue engineered mesh upper with large, robustly embroidered Swooshes on the lateral side. With smaller such branding present on the medial side. A Kobe logo is perched atop the tongue, while a much larger iteration of the logo appears on the rear heel.  Underneath the aforementioned upper resides a university blue midsole and white rubber outsole.  The “University Blue” Nike Kobe VIII is planned to debut later this year. In the Los Angeles Lakers’ February 10 matchup with the Utah Jazz, Lebron James broke a second iteration of the SVSM LeBron XXII PE, having worn another color earlier in the season.  This colorway is made for his high school alma mater, Akron’s Saint Vincent-Saint Mary’s, they sport a white upper paired with green that forms the shape of the Swoosh on th lateral side, while also continuing its journey to wrap around the medial side. In the Lakers’ recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a 111-102 Lakers win, LeBron James laced up the “Christ the King” LeBron XXII PEs. Made for the basketball team of the Queens, New York high school, they sport a gold nubuck upper with a yellow leather underlay forming the outline of the lateral side Swoosh and wrapping to the medial side.  Gold also takes care of the LeBron signature at the rear heel, with maroon showing up on the small Swoosh on the medial forefoot, and the LeBron XXII logo…

Take a look at the “UNC Reimagined” Air Jordan I High OG

With this upcoming Air Jordan I High OG, the “UNC” colorway gets the reimagined treatment.  They sport a white leather foundational layer overlaid with university blue at the toe, eye rows, flanking the ankles, and wrapping the heel. . In a recent game, Sacramento Kings forward DeMar DeRozan laced up the “Brave Blue” colorway of the Kobe IX Low. They sport a knit upper that features swaths of blues, the sides adorned with 3M Swooshes. Saturday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, Kevin Durant wore an iteration of his KD 18 inspired by the classic and controversial Air Bakin.  They sport a black mesh foundational layer, overlaid with red similar to that of the Bakin. Last seen in 2016, the “Oxidized Green” Air Jordan XIV makes its return, albeit this time in form to take to links.  Unlike its original iteration the Oxidized Green golf shoe sports ribbing and perforations on the side panels. One of what should be 7 Jumpmen appears on the toe, with others that should be located on the rear heel, aglets, lateral ankle, insole and outsole. This rendition of the classic silhouette features a smoke-grey suede. The Swooshes that adorn the sides are undergirded with black, with black also showing up at the branding on the tongue and rear heel.
