No Aristocrat of Bands for the Howard game

PE Corner: “Golden Medal” Adidas AE 1

This AE 1 was made for now Olympic gold medalist, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. They sport a black textile upper paired with lustrous gold, with the same/ golden detailing appearing on the Adidas Three Stripes branding on the rear heel as well as the AE logo on the tongue.  Underneath resides a Boost-equipped Lightstrike midsole and a golden rubber outsole  As with the majority of the subjects of PE Corner, there are no indications, currently, of a retail release for these.  images via lovedrose16

“XMAS” Adidas AE 1 Low Sample

This sample iteration of the Adidas AE 1 Low sports a winter blue upper spread across its textile and synthetic upper. Adidas Three Stripes branding is seen on the rear heel,along with “AE” in script appears on the back of the front pull tab.  Underneath this largely monochromatic upper resides a Boost midsole augmented with Lightstrike cushioning. A herringbone winter blue rubber outsole rounds out this mostly single hued aesthetic.  We will keep a close eye for further developments on this sneaker as they avail themselves. images via allinlivee

Fans will have to wait until Week 2 to see the Golden Rams in the Good Life City. Courtesy of Curtis Ford, Grambling State Athletics The Grambling State University women’s soccer team has been picked to finish first in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) preseason poll, announced by the conference on Monday morning.  The Tigers enter the 2024 season fresh off a dominating 2023 campaign that saw them win the SWAC Tournament and go unbeaten in conference play. Myles Crawley named to Urban Edge Network HBCU+ FCS National Player of the Year watch list

Courtesy of Curtis Ford, Grambling State Athletics Grambling State’s Myles Crawley added another preseason accolade this week as he was named to the Urban Edge Network HBCU+ FCS National Player of the Year watch list.  Crawley, who was picked as the preseason SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and is on the Walter Payton Award preseason watch list, had a remarkable 2023 season at GSU.
