Outside of their namesake, Las Vegas Aces star Aja Wilson is one of the most prominent wearers of the LeBron XXI. Throughout the WNBA season, the unanimous MVP has been seen in multiple and often very well-executed colorways of the LeBron XXI  The latest iteration for the Paris Olympic gold medalist sports a golden upper deasigned to resemble gold foil. PE Corner: “Golden Medal” Adidas AE 1

This AE 1 was made for now Olympic gold medalist, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. They sport a black textile upper paired with lustrous gold, with the same/ golden detailing appearing on the Adidas Three Stripes branding on the rear heel as well as the AE logo on the tongue.  Underneath resides a Boost-equipped Lightstrike midsole and a golden rubber outsole  As with the majority of the subjects of PE Corner, there are no indications, currently, of a retail release for these.  images via lovedrose16

PE Corner: Take a closer look at the “Murray State HOF” Nike Ja 2 PE

If you read our article on Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant being inducted into the Hall of Fame of his alma mater, Murray State, then you saw these in the special package that Nike made in commemoration of the momentous occasion. They sport a double mesh upper with a claw scratch aesthetic seen on both levels of the mesh. In the Indiana Fever’s highly anticipated game with the Chicago Sky, Caitlin Clark broke out a new Kobe VI Protro PE. In a performance that would have brought a smile to their namesake, dropped a career-high 31 points and dropped 12 dimes in the Fever’s 100-81 thumping of Chicago Sky Friday night.  Clark’s Kobe VI Protro sports light blue scales situated atop a similarly colored and white upper. PE Corner: The “Phoenix Mercury” Kobe VIII Protro

This duo of Kobe VIII player exclusives was made with the Phoenix Mercury in mind. One pair features an orange engineered mesh upper with a purple Swoosh on the lateral side, with similarly presented, but smaller branding on the medial ankle. PE Corner: An initial look at the “EYBL” Air Jordan 11 Low IE

PE Corner: Sabrina 2s fit for a gold medalist

This iteration of the Sabrina 2 was made for New York Liberty star and newly minted Olympic gold medalist Sabrina Ionescu.  They sport a vibrant red mesh upper adorned on the lateral side with a golden Swoosh;’smaller such branding appears on the medial side, below the ankle, along with a matching Sabrina logo on the tongue.  Underneath the aforementioned upper resides a red midsole and a navy-tinted translucent rubber outsole.  Right now, there is no indication of a retail journey in the works for these, but we wouldn’t be upset…

Before and during the gold medal match against France, LeBron James broke out two never-before-seen colorways of his new LeBron XXII sneaker.  In warm-ups before the game, James was seen in an all-iridescent pair paired with black at the inner, tongue, rear heel signature, and lateral side Swoosh outline.  The midsole, and its corresponding branding, also share the same visual feature.
