The first sneaker in the Nike Year of the Mamba Collection is set to release tomorrow.  They sport an eggplant fused upper with black at the rear heel. The Swoosh on the lateral side of the Flywire-equipped side panels is wrapped by a golden mamba, while a gold Kobe logo is perched atop the tongue.  Underneath resides a black midsole and a translucent rubber outsole.  As will be the case with the entirety of the Year of the Mamba footwear collection, these will be available via the SNKRS application. Initial images of the “Year of the Snake” have come to light. This upcoming Kobe V Protro, which fans of the man and/or his sneakers will unfortunately be frozen out of by the Kobe death profiteers, sports a purple fused upper with black mesh wrapping the heel. This upcoming Kobe V is  testament that Nike shows no plans on halting the Kobe Protro train in 2025.  At this early juncture, there are no available images, but what is known is they will make use of an eggplant, black and metallic gold colour palette. Initial predictive, speculations assign an aesthetic a largely eggplant based upper head with black at the tongue and inner. This Kobe V was originally released in 2010 in commemoration and celebration of the fifth NBA title that Kobe Bryant won. Ten years later it is set to make its return in Protro form.
