PE Corner: Caitlin Clark unveils “Sonic” Nike Kobe V Protro PE

Sunday Caitlin Clark helped the Indiana Fever get their first home win of the season with a 89-78 win over the Seattle Storm.

Clark , who posted a near triple double with 21 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds, did so in style as she introduced the world to a new Playern Exclusive iteration on the Nike Kobe V Protro.

Inspired by Sega’s blue, briskly running hedgehog, they featured a white and royal fused upper with gold-bordered Swooshes adorning the sides. Metallic gold shows up at the heel counter and the Kobe logo perched atop the tongue are a callback to the golden rings of the games, while the red at the rear heel hearken to Sonic rouge colored footwear.

The royal and white midsole and matching rubber outsole follow the color blocking of the aforementioned upper.

As it currently stands, there is no indication of a forthcoming retail release. However if Nike decides to pull the trigger on a retail run for these, it will be another license for them to print money.
