Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell and adidas are keeping their signature partnership going.
Mitchell has signed a new multiyear contract extension with adidas, a deal that will carry the All-Star guard into his 10th signature shoe with the brand.
The milestone puts Mitchell in an exclusive group of just seven active NBA players to reach 10 signature shoes with the same footwear company.
And the next chapter will extend beyond basketball and sneakers.
D.O.N. Issue 10 Is Coming
Mitchell’s new agreement means the D.O.N. signature line will continue through a 10th installment, adding another chapter to one of the NBA’s established signature-shoe franchises.
The partnership has become a major part of Mitchell’s identity both on and off the court, with the Cavaliers guard continuing to build the “Spida” brand alongside adidas.
adidas Adds Education Component
The new partnership also includes a community-focused component.
adidas will provide additional resources for Greenwich Country Day, Mitchell’s high school, with the goal of helping students from underserved communities gain greater access to educational resources.
That makes the extension more than a traditional athlete-footwear agreement, tying Mitchell’s signature relationship with adidas to an educational initiative connected to his background.
