SAVANNAH, Ga. — Albany State made a statement in its Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener Saturday night, dominating Savannah State from the opening kickoff before cruising to a 49-17 victory at Theodore “Ted” Wright Stadium. The Golden Rams scored in every quarter and built a commanding 35-0 lead before Savannah State finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.
