Courtesy of the SIAC Class of 2024 SIAC Hall of Fame inductee and former NFL receiver Jacoby Jones passed away in his sleep in his Houston home. He was 40. The day before his fortieth birthday on July 11, Jones joined the SIAC in Atlanta to celebrate his induction into the SIAC Hall of Fame. Allen University’s Beau Harrington and Terrance Harrington named to All-SIAC Preseason Team

Courtesy of Allen Athletics Among the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Preseason All-SIAC selections, senior running back Beau Herrington and senior offensive lineman Terrence Jarrett each were named to the Preseason All-SIAC Second Team Tuesday morning. Additionally, Allen was voted 11th in the SIAC’s predicted order of finish for the 2024 season.  Herrington, who is entering his fourth season as the primary running back for the Yellow Jackets, is coming-off a 2023 campaign that saw him lead Allen with 640 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns on 147 rushing attempts. Fort Valley wins rainy inaugural Florida Beach Bowl 23-13 over Johnson C. Smith

Fort Valley City State was able to take an early lead and then largely control the Johnson C.
