Monday Savannah State announced the hiring of Thomas Howard new head football coach, the 26th coach in program history. “This is a new chapter, not just for me, but for every SSU student athlete, fan, and supporter. I’m truly blessed and excited to join this institution, community, and fan base. Now it’s time to get to work and put this program back on top.” Coach Howard previously served as the defensive coordinator at Fayetteville State University.
