The Norfolk State athletic department has concluded another extraordinary spring semester, landing 176 student-athletes on the AD Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the NSU AD Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
11 student-athletes boasted a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring semester: Niya Fields (women’s basketball), Calyce Jones (volleyball), Jahee Blake (football), Fonnae Webb (football), Lauren Sheehan (softball), Irina Iurea (women’s tennis), Sabina Iurea (women’s tennis), Angelina Maniawska (women’s tennis), LaShauna Burrus(bowling), Autumn Burrell (women’s track & field), and Anjali Davis (women’s track & field).
The football team led the way with 52 honor roll selections, while women’s track & field (24), men’s track & field (23), softball (18), baseball (16), and volleyball (13) also reached double-digits. Women’s basketball (7), men’s tennis (7), men’s basketball (6), women’s tennis (6), and bowling (4) rounded out the list.
