Virginia State Men’s hoops unveils 2024-25 schedule

Head Coach Lonnie Blow, Jr. has announced the 2024-2025 schedule for Virginia State University Men’s Basketball Team. The schedule features 1 classic and 25 overall season games. 

The season takes off with the Trojan Tip-Off Classic November 8 vs Gannon University and November 9 vs Shepherd University at The Land of Troy. The season opener starts at home as the Trojans goes against Chowan University on November 13 at 8pm. The team hits the road for two straight games traveling to North Carolina on November 16 against UNC Pembroke and November 20 at Barton College. Trojans heads back home for the next three games versus Lander University on Saturday, November 23, Fayetteville State University on Saturday, November 30, and Shaw University on December 3. 

Conference games start away with three games away on December 17 at St. Augustine’s U, December 19 at Fayetteville State U, and December 21 at Claflin U. Trojans come back home for four straight games in the Land of Troy to host Johnson C Smith on January 4 and with Virginia Union on January 18. The team goes against Bluefield State University on January 22 and Lincoln University (Pa.) on January 25. The Trojans host Bowie State University on Wednesday, January 29 and travels to North Carolina to go against Elizabeth City State University on February 1. 

The Trojans ends the season with the last four home games and two away games. The Trojans host Cheyney University of Pennsylvania on February 5, Lincoln University (Pa.) on February 8, Bluefield State University on February 12, and Elizabeth City State University on February 15. The last two games of the season the Trojans travels towards north to go against Bowie State on February 19 and end with Virginia Union on February 22.
