Two million dollars worth of Nike sneakers were pilfered in a brazen train heist as the train was traveling through California and Arizona.
The stolen shipment consisted of unreleased and highly sought sneakers, many of which were reportedly the “Brick by Brick” Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4. According to authorities, the thieves targeted the train as it slowed down on the tracks.
Aided by hidden tracking devices that were previously placed in some of the boxes, law enforcement apprehended 11 suspects for the possession and receiving of ill-gotten goods from the robbery.
Each of the suspects pleaded guilty; they were denied bail and remain in custody.
