Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Thieves force their way onto school bus

According to the Utica, NY police department, its Juvenile Aid Unit is looking into a robbery that took place on a school bus in May.

Authorities say that on May 15 a disturbance was reported on a school bus. The police report stated that a group of nine juveniles, aged 14 to 16, was trying to force their way onto a school bus that was sitting at the intersection of Eagle and St. Vincent Streets.

Despite the best efforts of the driver to repel their entry, the group was able to gain access onto the bus.

Once inside the bus, the group of young ruffians, in a targeted attack, assaulted another youth, forcibly relieving him of his sneakers and other personal effects.

Each of the nine juvenile attackers was issued an appearance ticket for robbery in the second degree.
