The “5AM Flight” Nike Kobe X Protrois officially back in the spotlight.
Nike has unveiled official imagery of the highly anticipated Kobe X Protro, bringing back one of the most recognizable colorways from Kobe Bryant’s signature sneaker line.
Originally released in 2015, the “5AM Flight” returns with its signature Blue Lagoon engineered mesh upper, black Swoosh branding, red accents and translucent outsole. The colorway was inspired by Kobe’s famous early-morning training mentality and a 5 a.m. pool-dive video he shared during his recovery from Achilles surgery.
For the Protro edition, Nike keeps the original aesthetic while updating the shoe with modern performance technology. The revamped Kobe X features a redesigned engineered mesh upper along with Cushlon 3.0 foam and full-length Zoom Strobel cushioning.
The result is a sneaker that maintains the nostalgic look of the original while giving the Kobe X a more modern performance setup.
The “5AM Flight” will be one of several Kobe Protro releases keeping Kobe Bryant’s signature sneaker legacy at the center of Nike Basketball’s upcoming lineup.
