WASHINGTON, D.C. — Howard University women’s basketball is entering a new chapter in its program history.
The Howard Bison have welcomed Ebonie Williams as the program’s first-ever general manager, creating a new position within the women’s basketball program and adding another layer to its basketball operations.
Howard announced Williams’ arrival with a message welcoming its newest addition to the “Culture.”
“WELCOME OUR 1ST EVER GENERAL MANAGER, EBONIE WILLIAMS, TO THE CULTURE,” Howard Women’s Basketball posted.
Williams’ appointment represents a significant development for the Bison as college basketball programs continue adapting to an increasingly complex landscape involving recruiting, the transfer portal, NIL and roster management.
A Historic Role for Howard WBB
The significance of Williams’ appointment goes beyond simply adding another member to the Howard basketball staff.
