Quarterback Ui Ale finished the drive himself, rushing six yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 42 seconds left.
The victory moves Delaware State to 3-2 on the season and gives the Hornets another dramatic home victory.
THE GAME-WINNING DRIVE
Towson took a 28-27 lead with 4:57 remaining after Xavier Pugh scored on a one-yard touchdown run.
Delaware State answered immediately.
The Hornets went 90 yards on 11 plays, consuming 4:15 off the clock.
Ale helped keep the drive alive with his legs and arm before connecting with Jaylin Terzado for a 12-yard completion to the Towson 6-yard line.
One play later, Ale kept the ball and ran six yards into the end zone.

JAYLIN TERZADO COMES UP BIG
Jaylin Terzado was another key piece of the Hornets’ late-game offense.
He finished with eight receptions for 82 yards.
Terzado made two important catches on the final drive, including a 23-yard reception that moved Delaware State to the Towson 31-yard line and a 12-yard catch that put the Hornets at the Towson 6.

The Hornets forced four turnovers — two interceptions and two fumbles — and turned those takeaways into 13 points.

TOWSON’S COMEBACK FALLS SHORT
Towson quarterback Andrew Indorf threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns, while Aaron Enterline caught five passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
Running back Kemarrion Battles added 94 rushing yards.
Towson overcame a 13-point halftime deficit, eventually taking a 28-27 lead on Pugh’s one-yard touchdown run with 4:57 left.
But the Tigers could not stop Delaware State’s final possession.
