The Charlotte Hornets are betting big on Brandon Miller.
The third-year standout has agreed to a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale contract extension, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Monday. Miller’s representatives, AJ Vaynerchuk and Joey Middleton of VaynerSports, confirmed the agreement to ESPN.
The deal secures a long-term commitment between the Hornets and the former No. 2 overall pick as Charlotte continues building its future around its young talent.

Miller is coming off the best statistical season of his NBA career. The former Alabama standout averaged career highs of 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game during the 2025–26 campaign.
He also knocked down 204 three-pointers, showcasing the perimeter scoring that has made him an important piece of Charlotte’s long-term plans.
The 23-year-old has established himself as a productive offensive weapon since entering the league in 2023. However, injuries have interrupted his progress, including a right wrist injury that limited him to 27 games during the 2024–25 season.
