With its Foamposite upper and its futuristic aesthetic, when it debuted back in 1999 there was nothing like the Air Flightposite on the market. Though a bit heavier than the typically largely leather-constructed sneaker populace at that time, once broken in and conformed to the wearer’s foot through the heat of wear, they offered a nearly unrivaled fit and feel.
The Air Flightposite makes its long-anticipated retail return into of its original colorways – “Metallic Gold” in the upcoming holiday season and picture below, “Black” in 2025.
An initial image, albeit a sample, has emerged of the “Black” colorway. It sports a black Foamposite upper with its aerodynamic channels throughout. The sleeves are concealed beneath a branded full-length zipper with a velcro patch at the top, while an additional Swoosh has its home on the rear heel.
A black rubber outsole completes the midsoleless design.
The “ Black” Nike Air Flightposite is planned to return in the spring of 2025. They will carry a 240 USD sticker price.
