It seems that Jordan Brand is completely tone deaf and/or unable to resist trolling their consumer base. There has been a clamour for the “Taxi” Air Jordan 12 to return but rather than giving the people that which they want , they name a few slight cosmetic alterations and call it “Royalty”
With its white leather upper and black lizard overlays, the “Royalty” Air Jordan 12 is very close visually to the well-received “Taxi” colourway. However there are a few differences- tumbled leather at the upper, the gold colour on the midfoot plastic overlays; the gold on the tongue branding and different coloration on the heel pull tab.
A black midsole and white Jumpman branded outsole of the same colour completes the aesthetic.
The “Royalty” Air Jordan 12 is, for the moment, scheduled to release October 9 at nike.com and select retail establishments. They will carry a 190 USD sticker price.
