Chicago Bulls rookie center Daniel Gafford will be out for two to four weeks with a dislocated right thumb, per The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania.
Since he finally started getting some run, the Arkansas product has been a pleasant surprise. His high energy and effort has made it impossible for even Bulls head coach Jim Boylen not to find minutes for Gafford.
Already without Wendell Carter Jr, Gafford’s injury means that we will see even more of Thaddeus Young, who has appeared uncomfortable in the Bulls offensive system, and possibly, to the chagrin of Bulls fans, Luke Kornet.
