It appears that Jordan Brand is opting to use the Air Jordan 40 as a canvas of homage to previous Jordan models and colour ways as the recently highlighted Air Jordan 4016 is a testament to. This new colorway is but one of several colorways of the classic silhouette that Nike has planned for retail runs.  As their moniker implies, they sport a Foamposite upper that features a carbon fiber pattern. The classic white and navy color scheme of the Air Jordan XVI inspires this iteration of the Air Jordan XL.  They sport a white leather upper with a version of the XVI‘s removable magnetic gaiter incorporated into the design.
