Hawks add Nate McMillan to coaching staff

From nba.com: ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks today announced the hiring of Nate McMillan as an Assistant Coach on Head Coach Lloyd Pierce’s staff. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. McMillan, former Head Coach with Seattle (2000-05), Portland (2005-12) and Indiana (2016-20), has led his teams to a 661-588 (.529) mark in 1,249 career regular season games, and has 53 games of postseason coaching experience. Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young will be available for the club when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Sarah K. Spencer. The recently announced first-time NBA All-Star missed the previous game with a right thigh contusion. No word yet on if there will be any minutes restriction for Young.

Jeff Teague returns to Hawks via trade from Timberwolves.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Atlanta Hawks have engaged in a trade. The Hawks sent guard Allen Crabbe to Minnesota for point guard Jeff Teague and shooting guard Treveon Graham. Teague, has started 13 of the 34 games he has appeared in this season for the Timberwolves, averaging 13.2 points, 6.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds.
