Gordon Hayward to miss game tonight against Hawks

Boston Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward will miss the team’s game tonight against the Atlanta Hawks for what’s being termed “personal reasons.” NBC Sports Boston Chris Forsberg reports that Hayward is not in Atlanta with the team. Rajon Rondo cleared to return to full practice

The Los Angeles Lakers announced Friday that point guard Rajon Rondo has been cleared for full contact practice by the club’s medical staff.  According to Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportNet, the veteran point guard is likely to return to game action next week.  Rondo has out since suffering a sprained finger on December 27. Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss the team’s game Friday against the Washington Wizards. The Journal-Sentinel’s Matt Velazquez reports that Antetokounmpo was listed on the NBA’s injury report with a left hip contusion and right quad soreness. Larry Nance Jr. has sprained MCL

According to Adrain Wojnarowski of ESPN, Cleveland Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr.’s MRI concluded he has a sprained MCL and could be out for two weeks. The injury occurred halfway through the first quarter of the Cavaliers’ 123-115 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Nance was only able to contribute a single point in five minutes.
