Boston Celtics general manger and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge suffered a heart attack in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Earlier Thursday the team made the announcement, describing it as a “mild heart attack” and that the former Celtic player was “expected to make a full recovery.” He will return to Boston in the near future.
The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania added that the 60-year-old is “expected to return home this evening and is active, walking around today and feeling much better.”
Ainge has been Boston’s President of Basketball Operations since May 2003 and built a roster that has made the playoffs in 13 of his 16 seasons, including winning an NBA championship in 2008.
We at sneakershoptalk.com wish Ainge a speedy recovery.
