This rendition of the Nike Book 1 pays tribute to Flagstaff, Arizona, and its ponderosa pine forests.
They sport a fir nubuck upper that features a topographical pattern inspired by and representing the city’s rugged landscape. Large, white-bordered Swooshes adorn the lateral and medial sides, while the Arizona sunset serves as the backdrop for the Book 1 branding on the tongue. On the rear heel appears “FLAGSTAFF” and “NO SERVICE”, referencing the remoteness of the city.
Underneath resides a fir midsole and a gum rubber outsole.
The “Flagstaff” Nike Book 1 debuted on February 1 at nike.com and select retail establishments; they carry a 140 USD sticker price.
