Florida A&M punter Trey Wilhoit was named to the FCS Punter of the Year watchlist.
Last season the Eastern Illinois transfer was second in the SWAC, averaging 44.2 yards per kick and led the conference with 15 punts of 50 or more yards. Without also pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 12 times. He was also named to the FCS Football Central All-American Third Team.
Wilhoit has collected numerous accolades this pre-season having also been named to the FCS Football Central Preseason All-American Second Team and the Phil Steele Preseason All-SWAC Second Team
