Champion gymnast Kyrstin Johnson has signed with Temple University. Johnson made the announcement Monday afternoon, via a post on her Instagram account.
The former Talladega College was one of the crown jewels, as well as the first, acquisition of the, unfortunately, short-lived Talladega College gymnastics program which was cut after just one season.
Johnson had a stellar freshman campaign for the Tornadoes, which included making history as her win in the vault at the USA Gymnastics Nationals marked the first time a gymnast from an Alabama HBCU, and the second HBCU gymnast ever won a national title.
