New York Knicks point guard Frank Ntilikina will return tonight according to Ian Begley of ESPN. He has missed the last two 24 games with a groin injury.
“We’re just happy to have him back. “Trainers finally thought it was good enough to clear him. It’s been a frustrating go for everybody especially Frank. I’m just happy he can get back on the court before the year is done.”
Knicks coach David Fizdale
Coach Fizdale also added, “I just want to get him back on the court quite honestly feeling good about playing and try to get him into some kind of basketball rhythm before this thing is done.”
Though he practiced with the club’s G-League, ( I mean how stupid is G-league? Can we go back to calling it the D-League? That made a lot more sense.) the Knicks’ training staff wanted Ntilikina to go through one more practice before returning but injuries that have befallen the team did not allow them to have a five-on-five scrimmage on Thursday.
However, Ntilikina is healthy enough to play so him performing the five-on-five was eschewed in favor of bringing him back now.
