Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss the team’s game Friday against the Washington Wizards.
The Journal-Sentinel’s Matt Velazquez reports that Antetokounmpo was listed on the NBA’s injury report with a left hip contusion and right quad soreness. Velazquez adds that Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said that an injury that has been lingering for a couple of games will keep Giannis out of the game.
Although the Bucks will miss the 26.6 points, 12.8 rebounds and 6.0 assist that Antetokounmpo provides, Khris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon , Eric Bledsoe and Brook Lopez are all having productive seasons and will be called upon to hold down the fort in Giannis’ absence.
