In a move no one really saw coming, the Charlotte Hornets have fired head coach james Borrego. Despite the team signing him to a multi-year extension back in August, Charlotte still felt the need to make a change.
The Hornets seemed to be on the uptick, with a young and developing core, improving their win total by ten games each of the past two seasons, going 43-39 this season, however they have been bounced in the initial play-in game in both of those seasons.
In his four seasons in the Queen City, Borrego went 138-163.
