”I want to be here forever”, Buddy Hield talks on playing with Warriors

Buddy Hield was by and large a productive contributor, averaging 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists, while appearing in all 82 games.

Hield is a player who can thrive in the Warriors’ offense, which is predicated on ball and player movement.

When asked about his future with the Warriors, Hield said

“It’s the happiest I’ve ever been playing basketball.”

Hield added : “I’m gonna keep it real, you see the value of spacing with this team.”

With all that space and open shots, created by the gravity of Stephen Curry, the assertion can be made that Hield did not maximize the opportunities presened in the offense. He saw a decline in his shooting percentages from the field ( .436 to .417) , from downtown ( .386 to .370 ) and the charity stripe ( .881 to .828).

The 9-year vet said of playing with the Warriors that it is somewhere “I want to be forever.”

Hield hopes to remain in the Bay Area for at least 2 more seasons. He has three years remaining on a deal that will pay him $9,219,512 in 2025-26,

$9,658,536 in 2026-27 and a player option in 2027-28, that he will certainly opt in, which will pay him $10,097,560.
