Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reported earlier today that Lakers’ point guard has left the team to get medical opinions on his hip.
Trudell reports that Thomas has been dealing with pain in the hip and is traveling to New York to explore what can be done solve the issue.
This injury was what knocked Thomas out of last year’s playoffs, kept him out until January 2, and currently has him looking like a shell of his former self.
Between his time with Cleveland and Los Angeles, he’s averaging 15.2 points and 4.8 assist and shooting a woeful 29.3 from beyond the arc.
