According to Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash, star forward Kevin Durant could be eligible to rejoin the club Friday, just in time for a tilt against his former team, the Golden State Warriors.
KD had to be pulled off the bench during the team’s Friday night game against the Toronto Raptors due to contacts racing, after it was learned that Durant drove with a team employee that tested positive for COVID-19 Friday.
Durant will miss team’s games, including Saturday’s game against the 76ers, Tuesday’s matchup with the Pistons and Wednesday versus the Pacers.
Per the league’s health and safety protocols any player who is exposed to someone with COVID-19 must quarantine for six days.
Durant, who tested positive for coronavirus back in May, has continuedto register positive for the antibodies but, has tested negative for the virus seven times over the past three days. The aforementioned health and safely protocols do not differentiate between having the antibodies and those without.
