For his recent on-court exploits, Lane College guard Christopher Hood was named SIAC Newcomer of the Week.
In the Dragons’ 79-71 win over Benedict College on November 30, the junior guard scored 22 points, a mark that was only outpaced by teammate Christopher Matthews’ 23, on 7-9 shooting from the floor and 8-11 from the charity stripe. Hood also added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 stetals.
Through 7 games this season, the Rust College transfer is averaging 8.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 19.3 minutes per contest
