Carmelo Anthony appears to be headed to Houston. He will reportedly sign a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Rockets as soon as he is released by the Atlanta Hawks and clears waivers after his trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The New York Times’ Marc Stein reported “the Hawks have pledged to release Anthony once the trade is complete.” Stein also reports:
Rockets officials have been operating under the strong belief that Anthony will soon be Houston-bound since meeting with him face-to-face during summer-league play in Las Vegas earlier this month.
