When the Denver Nuggets take the court tonight against the the Phoenix Suns, Michael Porter , Jr. will not be amongst the players taking the court.
According to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, contact tracing will have MPJ out for several days.
The Denver Post’s Mike Singer adds that the team expects Porter Jr. to miss multiple contests.
Porter Jr seems poised for a breakout season after really showing some serious flashes in the NBA Bubble, where he averaged 22.0 points and 8.6 rebounds while knocking down 42% of his three-pointers during their seven seeding games. However his numbers and playing time did see a dip in the playoffs, where he only put up 11.4 points and 6.7 rebounds In 23.7 minutes on the floor.
Though it is a small sample size, four games, this season Porter has looked more like the player we saw during the seeding games, putting up 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists and knocking down 42% of his threes.
