Nike has decided that tiny controversy with the Air Max 1 will not dissuade them from putting flags on shoes, as shown on this Air Force 1.
It sports a white tumbled leather upper with obsidian swooshes on the lateral and medial sides and red “Nike Air” branding in the heel. The red insole features “UNITED” and “STATES” on adjacent stripes. On the tongue is the current American flag, where the label normally sits.
This upper sits above a obsidian midsole and outsole.
This Air Force 1 is available at nike.com and select retail establishments. The sticker price is set at $100 USD.
