Premier Wynn continues his run at the World Athletics U20 Championships in the 400-meter hurdles in Lima, Peru, punching his ticket into the next round.
Wynn represented Team USA, clocking a 51.89 time in the event to move on to the semifinals.
He shattered his own personal record on June 25, to earn a spot-on team USA with a time of 50.58.
Wynn enjoyed a spectacular opening year at the collegiate level, earning runner-up honors in the 400-meter hurdles at the MEAC Outdoor Championships. Posting a time of 50.72 in the conference meet, Wynn represented the Spartans at the NCAA Regional Preliminaries just a few weeks later.
Earlier in the season, Wynn etched himself into the Norfolk State record books as a member of the team’s 4×400 relay squad. Wynn, alongside, Tafari Bishop, Jahquan Christopher, and Vincent Bond Jr., completed the race in 3:05.57 to break a school record that stood for over 50 years.
