TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Dark Clouds Defense looks like they are in peak form after defeating the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions 27-6 in front of over 19,000 Rattlers.
Dark Cloud Defense Dominates
The Dark Cloud Defense dominated the Golden Lions from start to end, holding them to only 193 yards. Even more impressive, the Rattlers held the Golden Lions to only 20 rushing yards on 17 carries. The Rattlers added three sacks total, including two from the 2021 Buck Buchanan Award winner Isaiah LandKendall Bohler also recorded his second interception of the season. 
The Rattlers’ defense kept UAP out of the end zone as the Golden Lions’ lone touchdown came off a defensive interception in the fourth quarter.
Rattler Run All Over Golden Lions
The Rattlers’ rushing attack could not be stopped as the Rattlers ran for 201 yards and were led by transfer running back AJ Davis, who ran for 108 yards off 18 carries.
Xavier Smith Scores Again
Xavier Smith found the end zone in Bragg Stadium for the fourth consecutive game this season after connecting with Jeremy Moussafor a 16-yard touchdown for the game’s first. Smith finished with nine receptions for 94 yards and one touchdown.
