PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — Graduate student Bairesha Gill-Miles and senior Brooklyn Bailey combined for 27 of the team’s 35 points in the second half as Maryland Eastern Shore topped Claflin University 73-57 during Homecoming on Saturday.
Bailey finished the game with a team-high 18 points and added six rebounds, three assists and five steals. Gill-Miles score 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Sophomore Zamara Haynes chipped in eight points and Amanda Carney grabbed seven boards.
Mahogany Lester had eight rebounds and six points.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State’s Trinity klock tossed in 14 points and grabbed eight boards and teammate Lovely Sonnier contributed 10 points and four rebounds, but it was not enough to overcome the outstanding 39-point, seven-rebound effort of Coastal Carolina’s Aja Blount as the Chanticleers handed the host Lady Bulldogs an 81-57 setback Saturday.
