BALTIMORE, Md. — Senior guard Malik Miller scored a game-high 26 points with six rebounds as Morgan State reached the century mark for the second time this season, defeating Virginia-Lynchburg 123-59 in non-conference action Tuesday night at Hill Field House.
Miller connected on 9 of 11 from the floor and scored 21 of his 26 points in the second half. Senior forward Khalil Turner finished with a season-high 21 points (10-12 FG) and added six rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Senior guard Isaiah Burke added 20 points to go along with six assists and three boards in 25 minutes.

DURHAM, N.C. — North Carolina Central senior forward Kris Monroe matched a career high with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Eagles remain unbeaten at home with a 79-66 triumph over UNC Asheville on Tuesday night inside NCCU’s McDougald-McLendon Arena.
Monroe made 9 of 13 field goals, including a 5-for-9 performance from long distance, which marks the third time in his career with five triples.
Junior guard Justin Wright added 16 points for NCCU, senior guard Eric Boone collected 11 points, seven assists and three steals, and senior guard Marque Maultsby tallied 10 points. Center Brendan Medley-Bacon grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and guard Ja’Darrius Harris contributed nine points off the bench.
South Carolina State 73, East Carolina 68
GREENVILLE, N.C. — Sophomore guard Lesown Hallums tossed in a game-high 22 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead South Carolina State to an 73-68 win over East Carolina Tuesday at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum.
The Bulldogs (1-7) snapped an 11-game non-conference losing streak with the win, while the Pirates fall to 5-3 on the season.
Hallums connected on 9 of 15 shots from the field and 4 of 5 from 3-point range, while senior guard finished with 13 points (6-for-16 FG) in the win.

HOUSTON, Texas — The Norfolk State men’s basketball team couldn’t get their shots to fall from 3-point land on Tuesday night against the No. 1-ranked squad in the country, dropping a road bout with Houston 100-52.
Kris Bankston led NSU with 14 points and four rebounds, while Cahiem Brown also scored in double digits with 11 points.
