Anadolu Efes is scanning the market for a bigman addition and Tarik Black has become a solid option, per Eurohoops sources.
Black, 29, is currently competing in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Denver Nuggets. He finished the 2020-21 season at Zenit Saint-Petersburg providing massive help in reaching the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs.
Black, carrying the experience of 227 NBA games between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets, logged 5.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per EuroLeague contest at Zenit. He also has a couple of EuroLeague campaigns attached to Maccabi Tel Aviv under his belt.
The Turkish powerhouse, coming off its first EuroLeague title, is looking into the NBA market for a frontcourt boost since the agreement with Jock Landale fell short. The Australian bigsecuring an NBA contract via the San Antonio Spurs prevented the completion of the deal.
Efes has re-signed EuroLeague and Final Four MVP Vasilije Micic along with Rodrigue Beaubois, James Anderson, Adrien Moerman, Tolga Gecim, and Yigitan Saybir from the championship squad this offseason, with most of their remaining teammates also under contract for 2021-22.
