JDA Dijon has signed Sek Henry for the next season, the team announced Wednesday.
Henry, 34, will be part of the second straight edition of the Basketball Champions League. In his first season, he averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.4 rebounds helping Pinar Karsiyaka make it to the Final 8 championship game. His previous side settled for second place after the loss to Hereda San Pablo Burgos.
“I am very, very happy to join Dijon,” he said, per the announcement, after completing his move from Turkey to France, “I really want to help as much as possible aiming for titles in the domestic league or the Champions League. It’s going to be awesome. I can’t wait to be there.”
The former Nebraska standout returned to Karsiyaka for a second stint last season. He previously played in France for Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez and BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque during the 2016-17 season. Other European stops include Spain, Italy, and Israel.
His new team guided by Nenad Markovic will face Nizhny Novgorod, Unicaja Malaga, and Lavrio Megabolt in Group C of the BCL Regular Season.
