Police are on the hunt for a pair of thieves who robbed four minors in late June.
According to surveillaince footage posted to the Irvine Police Department’s Twitter account, the incident occured on Monday June 26 at 9:22 pm. Footage shows two males expeditiously exiting one of the men’s restroom at the Irvine Spectrum Center carrying a combined three pairs of shoes ( which appears to be two pairs of Air Jordan 4s and a pair of Air Jordan 1s) , and what appers to be a cap. The footage also shows them in what appears to be a parking garage with the ill-gotten footwear.
The first suspect was described as a hispanic male, aged 15-20, standing 5’08” and 150 lbs. He was wearing a black baseball cap with a red emblem, grey tank top with black pants, white shoes and carrying a fanny pack. He was also armed with a handgun.
Suspect no.2 also described as a hispanic male with black hair, aged 15-20, standing 5’08” and 150 pounds. The second suspect was wearing a black shirt, baggy grey pants and white shoes.
According to investigators the youths/victims were followed into the restroom by two suspect who subsequently demanded their footwear, which , prompted by the presence of the gun one of the suspects displayed, the victims handed over their sneakers.
As far as we know, there were no injuries reported in the robbery.
