A 19-year-old Santa Clara teenager is staring down a host of charges following his arrest for his role in a smash-and-grab at a high-end sneaker store back in November.
Gregory Jefferson was arrested at his Pittsburg home back on January 13. According to Santa Clara County Depute DA Mike VidmarSanta Clara police found 30 boxes of of luxury sneakers, clothing and even hangers with the name of the store, Fix Kicks.
Police also found and seized a “ghost gun”, with a loaded 30-round magazine.
Jefferson was arraigned January 25 on charges of organized retail theft, commercial burglary, grand theft, possession of stolen property and an assault weapon violation.
ADA Vidmar told CBS Affiliate KPIX 5 there was an ongoing investigation into 17 other suspects involved in the November 23 robbery at Fix Kicks, however no information was available on additional arrests.
As reported earlier, Fix Kicks was the target of multiple burglaries in the latter part of 2021, which lead the closure of its brick-and-mortar location and shift to online sales only.
