A recent sneaker sale in Memphis, Tennessee devolved into gunplay.
According to Memphis Police, the victim made arrangements on social media to sell a pair of Air Jordans to a male. The agreed upon location was on Willow Rd at around May 14 at around 9 A.M.
At the meeting a male got out of a grey Dodge Charger and into the buyer’s car.Once inside the car, the “seller” turned into a robber, pulling out a gun and pointing it at the other man and demanded his money. Police said that another man got out of the charger and approached the victim’s driver side window and attempted to take his wallet.
Following that, the male robber that was in the car took it upon himself to fire two rounds that shattered the victim’s windshield.
Three men got away and are now being sought by police for aggravated robbery in connection to this incident.
Memphis Police is asking that any individuals with pertinent information related to this case to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274). Information that leads to an arrest could make the tipster eligible for up to a $2,000 reward.
