Police in Providence, Rhode Island are investigating an armed robbery that occurred during a sneaker sale.
In late March, police responded to a call at Marion Avenue for a report of an armed robbery.
According to law enforcement, the nature of the predetermined meeting was a sneaker sale.
The victims relayed to officers that upon their arrival to the location, they were approached by a pair of males. One of the males was socked in the face, while the others brandished a firearm and demanded the money that was intended to be used to purchase the sneakers.
The pair was forcibly relieved of cash and other personal effects by the robbing ruffians before fleeing the scene of foot.
