Police in New Britain Township Police are on the hunt for a suspect who stole a pair of sneakers but then exacerbated the situation by also threatening to shoot a group of people.
According to authorities, at approximately 7:35 pm on Monday, May 5 when three individuals sitting on a curb were approached by a pair of individuals unknown to them. Police say that one of the pair allegedly stole a pair of sneakers from one of the victims.
Upon the victims attempting to intervene and recover the kicks, one of the thieving duo turned around and brandished a firearm and said “ I’m going to shoot you,” police say.
The robbers fled the scene and the victims were unarmed.
In seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the robbers, police has released an image of one of the suspects.
