A group of thieves made off with thousands of dollars in Nike footwear. According to police in Memphis, Tennessee, multiple cars drove onto the lot of IMC Logistics, located on East Holmes Road just after 1 am on Sunday, May 31.
Several individuals exited the vehicles and headed to the northeast corner of the lot, where the container in question was located and forced their way inside it.
The team of crooks loaded several boxes of Nike sneakers into their vehicles and sped away. Memphis police released pictures of at least seven vehicles that were used in the commission of the robbery, which included a white van and a trailer.
Fox13 law enforcement expert Dr. Mike Collins suggested this robbery was an inside job. “They had to have known what the items were inside that cargo,” said Collins. “This was an employee who obviously knew what was inside the container and directed these individuals at a particular time, particular location.”
